If you buy an apartment or a building you don’t need to register a company as it is possible to effectively own the apartment or the building together with the construction right on the land, on which the apartment or the building has been constructed, whereas the ownership of the land is not transferred.

- Completion shall be effected upon transfer of funds and signing of the Notary Act, which is transfer of Title Deeds.
The notary fees are about 1% of the purchased price of the property. State Tax is 2% of the market value of the property and is paid to the municipality in which the property is situated.
The owner of a building or a plot is obliged to pay a real property tax. The tax is equal to 0.15% of the book value of the property. In addition to the real property tax, owners also pay waste-collection fees.
